The Association is comprised of six centers that assist with carrying out the SNA mission.
Executive Office
The Office for the Chief Executive Officer coordinates the entire range of programs, policies and services provided by the Association. The Office also supports SNA's 49 state affiliates.
Business Development & Meetings Center
The Business Development & Meetings Center is responsible for planning and management of all SNA meetings and conferences to include coordination of all housing and travel, conference registration, onsite conference logistics and exhibit sales and management. The Center is also responsible for all industry-related activities, including the Industry Advisory Board, Industry Membership, the Patron Program, Industry Partnerships, and Industry Sponsorships.
Marketing & Communications Center
The Marketing & Communications Center produces all of the Association's member communications and oversees SNA’s marketing activities for a wide range of programs, initiatives and events. It produces the flagship publication,School Nutrition, and the Association website, along with several e-newsletters, social media communications, a research journal and periodic books, reports and other resources. This Center is also responsible for all print and digital advertising sales, as well as the SNA Shop.
Finance & Information Technology Center
The Finance & Information Technology Center oversees many of the administrative duties that are necessary for the Association's day-to-day operations, including IT, accounting and membership processing.
Government Affairs & Media Relations Center
The Government Affairs & Media Relations Center is the advocacy, policy and outreach arm for the Association, managing relationships with the U.S. Congress and Federal Agencies-specifically the U.S. Departments of Agriculture and Education. The Center provides review, insight and comment on regulatory and legislative issues, and provides assistance to members at both the national and state level on critical school nutrition issues. The Center also works closely with national allied organizations and other member associations, and handles all outreach to the media, including print, social, and radio/television.
Membership & Professional Development Center
The Membership & Professional Development Center actively promotes membership to SNA and provides member services for SNA's 50,000+ members. This includes educational programming like SNA’s popular Webinar Wednesdays series, the Certificate in School Nutrition and School Nutrition Specialists (SNS) programs and professional development at SNA conferences. The Center also develops key research in school nutrition.
